How can I get tested?
Getting tested for Chlamydia is really simple, you can do it yourself, either a urine sample for men or women or a vaginal swab for women.
You can order a test here, or visit our where to get tested page to find where else you can get a test.
Our service is completely confidential and your results will not be shared with anyone else, unless we believe you to be in danger, or if we are unable to contact you with your result. If you are under 16 you can still order a test, however we will have to speak to you before sending you a kit, just to be sure you are safe.
Your results will be sent to you in whichever way you prefer and if you do have Chlamydia we will help you find treatment for yourself and any partners, as well as helping to contact any previous partners that may need testing or treatment.
Treatment for Chlamydia is a really simple course of antibiotics, either a one off dose, or twice a day over a week. As long as you take the tablets and have no sexual contact for 1 week the Chlamydia will be treated completely, but you will still need to use condoms afterwards to make sure you don’t get Chlamydia again!
If you are over 24 you can still get tested for Chlamydia, however, you will have to do this at your GP or local Genito-urinary Medicine (GUM) Clinic. Visit the Get it on site, to find where your nearest GUM clinic is.
